In addition to the powerful repricer algorithms, at Feedvisor we understand that sometimes the ability to leverage rule-based configurations can be the difference to an optimal setup for your products.
For this reason, we created the configurable actions described below.
How to configure:
- On the listing level - via the Product Slider
- In bulk - via the Inventory and Listings configuration file (Xlsx format)-> the "Merchant Based Behavior" sheet
Competitive Dynamic options
Follow Merchant
This instructs the repricer to follow a specific merchant within a listing and price your product above or below their price.
The diff is configurable as a value or a percentage.
The behavior will kick in only when the defined merchant is in the arena.
When to use?
If you want to customize the pricing configuration and have the product’s price determined by the price diff you set.
** This means that the configured merchant will be the 'leader' for this ASIN.
Merchant As Lower Bound
This Competitive Dynamic pricing rule essentially uses the price of a specific merchant as your product’s floor price. The repricer price will not be lower than the price of the merchant defined (it can be the same although not lower).
This rule means that a 'Temporary Dynamic floor' will be enforced when the merchant is in the arena.
** Your standard Floor price is always enforced and the repricer will not send prices below it, no matter what.
Freeze (my) Price When Merchant X is In The Buy Box
When the defined merchant is in the Buy Box (ONLY), the repricer will freeze the price. The price will be based on the last published landed price. Once the configured Merchant loses the Buy Box, the product will continue repricing regularly.
When to use?
You don’t want to compete when a stronger competitor, for example, Amazon is holding the Buy Box.
** This rule means that When merchant X is winning the Buy Box - no repricing actions will occur.
Follow Merchant In Buy Box
When the defined merchant is in the Buy Box (ONLY), the repricer will set a new price based on the configured Price Diff from that merchant.
The price diff can be positive or negative or can be defined to simply match their price.
The diff is configurable as a value or a percentage.
Once the configured Merchant loses the Buy Box, the product will continue repricing regularly.
When to use?
You want to increase your chances of being in the buy box and you are less focused on profit.
In other words, you’re looking to sell.
