How to use the Scouting feature
1. Click on the Actions tab, then on the Scouting sub-tab.
2. Click on +Add New Report
3. If it is your first time uploading a report, download our template first. In the template, paste your list of products from your suppliers.
Fill in:

Code type: UPC (for Model Part Number use UPC), ASIN, EAN

ASIN = characters

UPC = 12 digits
-
EAN = 13 digits

Barcodes must be entered in a number format only, with no decimal point, letters or spaces. also, note that the barcode isn't converted to this form "789E+11"

Headers must be exactly the same as they are listed in the template

Cost of the item (In the absence of the cost, we will not be able to estimate profit).

Quantity: Enter the batch size you are purchasing (This field is not mandatory and won't affect calculations.)
- Due to Amazon-related throttling limitations, the imported CSV file should not exceed 10,000 rows per file.
4. Save the template file in CSV format and upload it.
5. Wait for the status to turn to OK and click on the report name – this will open the report.
6. Hovering over the Keepa icon opens a Keepa chart, and clicking on the icon, opens Keepa chart in a new tab.
7. Click on the item row to open the slider.
How to add a filter by UPC
You can filter all the ASAINs the UPC has been listed on. Some of them might be a bundle or the same ASINs, just Amazon yet to merge them. You can choose which is the best ASAIN to list in within the specific UPC.

Est. Sales & Profit
Calculations to give you an idea if investment in this Item might be profitable.
These calculations depend on the lowest price, the cost (including fees) and demand for the item.

Est. Competitive Price - The estimated Competitive price for this product. In the case that there is a Buy Box for this item, we will use the current Buy Box price; if the Buy Box is suppressed, we will take the most relevant price from the different offers.

Est. Monthly Sales Share - Estimated Monthly sales share is calculated using our unique demand model, with the average competitive price in play.

Est. Monthly Profit Share - Monthly profit share is calculated using the Estimated number of orders per day times the average competitive price and divided by the amount of effective competition including you

Est. Profit Margin - This is your estimated profit margin for the item considering average selling price and total costs and fees.
Demand
This section shows the demand for the item in the related category.
The Estimated number of orders per day is a calculation of how many items are sold by all the competitors.

Sales Rank Category - The Sales rank category as collected from Amazon

Sales Rank - The sales rank # as collected by Amazon (lower is better)

Est. Number of Orders per Day - Estimated order velocity per day is based on our unique data-driven demand model
Competition
This will give you an idea of how many competitors there are and how many of them are real “threat” (Est. Number of effective Competitors).
