The Amazon Best Sellers Rank calculation is based on Amazon sales and is updated hourly on Amazon to reflect recent and historical sales of every item sold.
While the Amazon Best Sellers list is a good indicator of how well a product is selling overall, it doesn't always indicate how well an item is selling in relation to similar items. Amazon created category and subcategory best seller lists to highlight an item's rank in the categories or subcategories where it really stands out.
Feedvisor collects the "Category level" Best Sellers Rank for all of your items several times a day.
The average Sales rank on the dashboard consists of the sum of the collected sales rank for the item, over the selected time period (default is 30 days) and divided by the number of days in that time period.
* Please note that if the Sales Rank is not being reported by Amazon, that day will be counted as 0.
