What is the MAP Violators Report?
Feedvisor 360
Minimum Advertised Price, MAP, refers to a supplier’s pricing policy that prevents a seller from advertising prices below a specific amount. Feedvisor has a custom report aimed to help identify sellers who are not honoring MAP. The identification of those who breach MAP can be used to report violators to your vendors. You may also use the information to renegotiate costs with your suppliers, or even reconsider your strategy on replenishment.
Reach out to your Success Manager for more information on how to get the MAP Violators Report on your account.
How Does it Work?
In order to receive results, you must first identify your MAP inventory.
-
MAP price can be updated on the Slider or in the ’Inventory & Listings Configuration’ file with the specified MAP price.
-
We recommend that while you are updating MAP in the bulk format, you also update the Cost, Vendor, and Brand fields, as you may choose to sort the report on any of these data points.
Via the Product Slider
Via the Inventory & Listings Configuration File
Once the initial setup of MAP inventory is complete, the report will run on your account.
Each exported report will be reflecting data of one day prior to the export date.
In this report, we scan the specified MAP inventory and report your competition’s lowest price listed on a SKU basis. Only prices listed below the defined MAP price are shown and we report multiple pricing violations a day, per ASIN.
Also highlighted for you is the percentage your competition is pricing below the defined MAP price and hourly data of each violation. This information, along with a link to the ASIN and your competitor’s storefront, are included in the report.
