You can find below the main reasons for a listing to appear as Inactive on your dashboard.
Listing is not included in the Inventory/Listings report we get from the SP API
Once Amazon no longer includes a previously-active listing in the below reports, we will mark this listing as Inactive:
- FBA_MYI_UNSUPPRESSED_INVENTORY_REPORT
- MERCHANT_LISTINGS_REPORT
As dictated by Amazon, both reports above must include ALL Active listings, thus, once a listing is excluded from these reports - it will be handled as Inactive.
* Closed and deleted listings become inactive items in Feedvisor
* Inactive listings can't be edited for cost structure
* Inactive listings are automatically deleted if they fall under the Inactive Listings Removal Policy.
Amazon's Minimum and Maximum price range exceeded
Your Amazon minimum and maximum price range has to at least match or at best, be broader than your price ranges for an item on Feedvisor.
Best practice is to update all your minimum and maximum pricing on Amazon to be half and double of the price range you've set on Feedvisor.
This way, for an item that has a price range of $10 - $20 on Feedvisor and $5 - $30 on Amazon as the minimum and maximum, every change on Feedvisor (within AMAZON's price range) will not cause the item to de-activate.
If your price range on Feedvisor is out of your Amazon minimum and maximum ranges, your item will be rendered Inactive (Potential Pricing Error).
In order to resolve this, please correct the Amazon minimum and maximum rules to match your Feedvisor pricing.
Please note, if no minimum and maximum boundaries are set on Seller Central, Amazon may set it for you.
Also, when new listings are added, please ensure that the Floor/Ceiling prices set on Feedvisor are within the Min/Max range set on Amazon.
